In the past Trevornick has charged for the use of showers, this charge has now been withdrawn for the 2008 season. Recent improvements made to the site have included the 'Stables' cafe, the 'Hungry Horse' take-away and a fully refurbished 'Farm Club'. 2007 also saw the introduction of Harry and Harriet the Holywell Hares. They are both looking forward to entertaining the children again this year. The Farm Shop and Hire Shop have also been re-branded and both continue to be extremely popular with our customers. We had various visits last year including once a month from the Newquay Fire Station, other visits included a Beach Safety visit from RNLI, Devon & Cornwall Constabulary etc. All of these visits proved to be popular with parents and children alike. We are hoping a similar programme will take place this year. On the environmental front, a lot of tree planting has been undertaken particularly on the Fun Park and Golf course. We have just applied for membership of the Green Tourism Business Scheme (GTBS) and hope to achieve the 'Gold' award. This accreditation will require us to provide excellence in environmental practice. Last year we involved the children in a fancy dress competition, but costumes had to be made from recyclable materials. GTBS has been recognised as providing measures to enable businesses to reduce their individual environmental impact and improve the management of any resources used, such as energy and water. We are proud of being a 'Gold' David Bellamy Conservation Award. As part of our new website, we have just gone live with out on-line booking system and this is already proving to be a tremendous success. It's amazing that we have already received a number of bookings for 2009. So don't delay make your booking NOW!
